This is the time, when all of the smartphone makers are crossing all the bars to reduce the chins. Oppo had also planned to bring something more bezel-less in Indian market. The expected smartphone is Oppo A83 and it will be a mid-range smartphone. We have got some hint that this smartphone could be launched on January 17.
Oppo had already started sending out the invites for an event in Bengaluru on January 17.
Oppo A83 Specifications
To start with, the Oppo A83 was launched last month in China. The phone comes with a 5.7 inch HD+ (720 x 1440 pixels) resolution with 18:9 aspect ratio. The device comes with a 2.5D curved glass display. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with ColorOS 3.2 skinned on top.
The Oppo A83 is powered by a 2.5GHz Octa-Core processor clubbed with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
Coming to the camera department, the device sports a 13MP primary camera with an LED flash. On the front, the device sports an 8MP secondary camera for selfies and video calling. The front camera can also be used for unlocking the device. The company claims that the device can be unlocked using the user’s face in just 0.18 seconds.
The Oppo A83 is powered by a non-removable 3,090mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio.
Pricing and Availability
The Oppo A83 is expected to be launched in India on January 17. It is tipped to be priced around Rs. 15,000 which means it will compete in the mid-range smartphone market.
